Peer Reviewer Process
All manuscripts submitted to the Jurnal Neuroanestesi Indonesia (JNI) are first evaluated by the Editorial Team to determine their suitability with the journal’s focus, scope, and author guidelines. Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements are then considered for further peer review.
The peer review process is conducted using a double-blind review system, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Each research article, case report, and review article is normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers assess the scientific quality, originality, methodological appropriateness, clinical or scientific relevance, clarity of presentation, and adequacy of references.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original and have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Manuscripts suspected of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other forms of publication misconduct may be rejected or handled in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policy. Authors are encouraged to check their manuscripts using an appropriate similarity-detection tool before submission.
Following the peer review process, the Editor evaluates the reviewers’ recommendations and determines whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected. The Editor may request additional revisions or further review when necessary to ensure the quality and integrity of the published article.
The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief. Accepted manuscripts are scheduled for publication according to the journal’s editorial workflow, issue planning, thematic considerations, and the readiness of the manuscript for publication. The editorial team reserves the right to determine the order of publication while maintaining fairness and consistency in the editorial process.
